The global textile industry has been adapting to the changing world environmental variations by shifting towards green, eco-friendly, bio-based, and sustainable production technologies. Innovative technologies are being utilized to reduce the environmental impact of textile products. Environmental-friendly, health-conscious, and energy-efficient textiles will be crucial trends in the future development of textile technology.
In order to enable industry peers to timely respond to the ever-changing market with environmentally sustainable practices, BS has specially invited Dr. Lam Chi Hin, Jin from the Institute of Textiles and Clothing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. On16th April, Dr. Lam delivered a Talk titled "Textile Expression Art and Social Intergration" at BS's newly built office building. She shared the relevance and feasibility of integrating textiles, art, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) aspects with major brands and designers. This exchange has triggered more innovative inspiration and greatly enhanced the possibilities for industry environmental protection and sustainable development.
As a strategic partner of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Ten-year Service Learning Program, BS collaborates annually to set the direction for projects and continues to support the sponsorship of garment materials. Through this opportunity, BS aims to drive industry attention towards social integration, allowing young people to inject new energy and vitality into fashion creativity under the influence of the green movement.
